Congratulations to Wolfpack teammate David Garofano for his induction into the North Shore Baseball League's Hall of Fame.www.nsbl.org/HallofFame.htmHis chances of receiving the honor were put into jeopardy by testimony of his former trainer that he had injected him in the ass 4 times between 2000-2002 with jelly donut filling and powdered sugar.

Don't forget, jelly donut filling injections were not made illegal until 2004 and powdered sugar injections are still allowed by NSBL rules. Even in his final season, he was still the best hitter on his team.

Congratulations on the North Shore HOF. I'm sure there are many IHOP's on the North Shore that have placed you there many times before.
It is a great accomplishment and well deserved. It was a short 20 years ago (or there abouts) when you were 25 and in your prime (that's pre your USDA rating) that I found you staggering around with a glass of Jack Daniels in one hand and a stogie in the other heading for the TV room at my brother-in-laws bachelor party. Around 2 or 3:00 in the morning, I convinced you to play in the over 30 league. Honestly, it didn't take much, I just asked. You, my second draft choice, showed up in Lawrence the next day and went 3 for 4. And the rest, is as they say, is history. While stroking your way to the NSHOF, you have ripped in the over 30 league and thrown some gems as well. And while your kid broke a few pair of glasses and things were sour, I consider you a good teammate. It has been a pleasure to be in the stands when you get one in the wheel house and watch you leg out those singles. Good luck, keep the induction speech short, nobody will understand a f**king thing you say anyway. Pete #14 PS, You guys may be aware, or not. Russ, (Dave's good buddy), Ward is at home resting comfortably after triple surgery. I spoke to him the other day, while the pain killers were still working pretty well. He hopes to be back and ready for the over 50 league in 2010. Steve Wolf has graciously picked up the cost of the surgery, considering it was his careless pursuit of a national championship for the Wolfpack that put him on the scrap heap. Let him know you care by sending him a get well message...or just maybe cash. It may also be a good time to have him do some painting at your house. He is giving the "lefty" discount as his right arm will be out of action for some time. Good luck Russ.
